The San Diego Center for Children's Refurbishing Club has transformed 2 used surfboards that were headed for the dump into sturdy tables for both indoor or outdoor use.  One is covered with a wall sticker (wood looking one) and finished with metal legs (purchased new). The other table features the original board cleaned, sanded and polished, and has wooden legs installed (legs purchased new as well).  All proceeds go to the club and youth who worked tirelessly on these boards.
